Terms of Use

These terms describe the rules for using TillShot, including local receipt storage, recognition, exports, backups, purchases, and support.

Agreement

By using TillShot, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

Unless a separate license is shown in the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application terms also apply to the app downloaded from the App Store.

What TillShot does

TillShot helps you capture, verify, organize, export, and back up receipt records on iPhone. It is designed as a local-first receipt organizer with optional on-device recognition.

TillShot is not an accounting firm, bookkeeper, tax advisor, legal advisor, bank, or payment processor.

Your responsibility for receipt records

You are responsible for reviewing receipt information before relying on it. Recognition results, OCR text, evidence highlights, totals, dates, categories, and exports may be incomplete or incorrect.

You should keep any original records required by your accountant, business, or local law. TillShot does not determine whether an expense is deductible, reimbursable, compliant, or reportable.

Local data, exports, and backups

TillShot stores receipt data locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups if you need long-term recovery. Backup passwords cannot be recovered by TillShot.

When you export or share files, you choose where those files go. Third-party file providers, email services, accountants, or recipients may have their own terms and privacy practices.

Recognition package

On-device recognition is optional and may require a user-initiated download of about 363 MB. Availability, speed, and accuracy can vary by device, receipt quality, language, lighting, and storage conditions.

You can use manual entry when recognition is unavailable, unsupported, failed, or not installed.

Purchases and subscriptions

TillShot may offer Free and Pro features. Purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, renewals, refunds, and billing are handled by Apple through the App Store.

Prices are shown in the app through Apple's StoreKit system. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

Acceptable use

Do not use TillShot to store, create, export, or share unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, or harmful content. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, disrupt, or misuse the app, recognition package, website, or model download hosts.

Availability and changes

TillShot may change, pause, remove, or add features over time. We may update these terms when the product changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Disclaimers

TillShot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that receipt recognition or exported files will be accurate for every situation.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TillShot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or records arising from use of the app or website.
